Admissions
We can't wait to meet you and your student! Our admissions process is designed to ensure that the acceptance board receives a holistic profile of all prospective students. During this process, families will be given many opportunities to interact with our administrators to get a fuller picture of the TESF experience as well as receive updates regarding screening test results and decision progress.
The Application Process
In order to be considered for admission to Thomas Edison School of Fairfax, an application on behalf of the student must be completed in its entirety. This includes the completion of the parent referral form, parent questionnaire, student portfolio, and an on-site Gifted and Talented Screening Exam.

Step 1
Forms & Portfolio
Please select Download Blank Forms to download and complete the parent referral form and questionnaire. Next, please complete the application in its entirety by selecting Application Form. This portion requires you to upload your students' portfolio item(s) and provides guidelines for doing so.
Step 2
GT Screening
The next step of the application process is to attend an on-site Screening Assessment administered by our Headmaster. There is a non-refundable $100 application fee that must be paid by cash or check to our main office at the time of the assessment. If you were one of the first 50 people to attend a Virtual Information Session, your application fee will be waived! RSVP is required as spaces per session are limited and available only to active applicants.
Step 3
Consultation
After the exam has been taken, parents will be encouraged to schedule a free consultation with our Headmaster to discuss their student's results. As admission is conducted on a rolling basis, applicants can expect to receive a decision concerning their status within two weeks of the completion of the process.
Those who are recommended to our program will receive the official registration form in addition to a formal acceptance letter. Please contact info.tesf@msmschools.com with any questions regarding the application process.

Tuition & Fees
Below are the tuition and fees for the 2022 - 2023 school year. Fees are subject to change. If you would like to discuss need-based financial aid options, please contact info.tesf@msmschools.com.
